Karim Rashid is an industrial designer who was born in Cairo in 1960. He received a Bachelor in Industrial Design from Carleton University in 1982 and has completed his post- graduate studies in Italy.
He opened his own practice in New York City in 1993, and has worked for numerous clients globally such as Issey Miyake, Guzzini, Giorgio Armani, YSL, and others. Rashid has created over 2000 designs, his projects range from interiors, fashion, furniture, lighting, art and music to installations and he successfully entered the realm of architecture and interiors. ÂÂ
Rashid was an associate Professor of Industrial Design for 10 years and is now a frequent guest lecturer at universities and conferences globally.

The 5 star intimate hotel designed by Karim Rashid, is Athens’ design-inspired hotel offering a place for new contemporary experiences to enjoy, work and relax in a truly memorable way. The hotel focuses on positive energy, heightened experiences, culture, art and design. The 52-room hotel is set 340 meters above sea level to offer an oasis from the humidity of central Athens. The Semiramis Hotel earned the Sleep05 European Hotel Design Award.

German typographer and graphic designer, Ingo Maurer, was born in 1932 on the Island of Reichenau, Lake Constance, Germany. In 1960, he emigrated to USA and worked as a freelance designer in New York and San Francisco and then in 1963 he returned back to Europe and settled in Munich.In 1966 “Design M” was established and later transformed into Ingo Maurer GmbH, and the company produces to this day both Ingo’s fixtures and the work of other creative designers.
The Atomium,Brussels
 Ingo Maurer and his team planned the lighting of the interior and created several new lighting objects for the Atomium, the extraordinary and unique building in Brussels, which has been closed for renovation in 2003 and reopened for the public again in 2006.

Christoph Ingenhoven was born in 1960 in Düsseldorf, he studied architecture at the Technical University of Aachen and at the Academy of Arts in Düsseldorf.In 1985, he started his architectural office Ingenhoven Architects which has won numerous first prizes and awards at international competitions for realized projects as well as for their ecological and effective approach.Besides his conceptual work, Christoph Ingenhoven acts as jury member and expert in several competition processes and gives lectures all over the world.

The 127 meters high-rise is the first ecologically orientated building with a double skin overall glass façade for natural ventilation of office areas. The building is classified as the first German ecologically orientated high-rise and won the 1st prize in the International Competition 1991
